Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Childcare Worker to join our team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of children aged 0-5 years. Responsibilities

• Plan and lead engaging activities that promote physical and cognitive development.
• Create a welcoming environment that reflects the diverse backgrounds of children.
• Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure effective childcare.
• Implement safety protocols and emergency procedures.
• Encourage and model respectful communication and behavior.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Support children experiencing challenges or special needs.
• Conduct routine assessments of children’s development and wellbeing.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Diploma in Early Childhood Development is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in childcare or teaching is preferred.

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Fluent in both languages to better communicate with children and parents.
• Experience in outdoor educational programs: Background in leading outdoor programs for children.
