We are on the lookout for a sharp-minded Actuarial Analyst to join our skilled team in Pretoria. In this role, you will utilize statistical and mathematical techniques to prepare evaluations of risks and investments, crucial to our organization's success. Collaborating with a variety of departments, you will assist in ensuring our strategies align with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate insurance and pension products by calculating premiums.
• Prepare and present findings to stakeholders using clear and concise language.
• Utilize predictive analytics to enhance underwriting processes.
• Research industry trends and regulations to inform actuarial practices.
• Participate in peer reviews and collaborate in the enhancement of existing methodologies.
• Engage with cross-functional teams for effective implementation of actuarial strategies.
• Regularly update actuarial databases and reports to reflect new data and assumptions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) is preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in actuarial roles
