As a Cybersecurity Specialist in Port Elizabeth, your primary focus will be on protecting our digital assets. You will work with various teams to implement security strategies, conduct threat assessments, and ensure compliance with industry regulations. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of our information systems.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and enhance current security processes and technologies.
• Lead efforts in securing cloud-based environments and applications.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
• Manage security awareness programs to educate staff on potential threats.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and apply appropriate countermeasures.
• Coordinate with technical teams to resolve security-related issues.
• Review system architectures for security implications.
• Advise management on information security risks and policies.
• Help with compliance audits and assessments related to security regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in information security
