Welding Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Welding Technician, where you will be tasked with performing various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, and Stick welding. You'll read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to produce and repair metal structures. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding machines to join metal components.
• Conduct routine maintenance on welding tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with engineers and design teams to develop effective welding solutions.
• Document work processes and maintain precise records of welding activities.
• Ensure all welding complies with industry and company standards.
• Train junior welders on techniques and safety protocols.
• Monitor welding processes and suggest improvements for quality and efficiency.
• Support the production team in various tasks where welding skills are needed.
• Adhere to quality assurance protocols by keeping up-to-date records.
• Contribute to team meetings and provide suggestions for process enhancements.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Welding certification from a recognized institution

Experience

• Experience with welding of stainless steel or aluminum preferred

• Stick Welding

Certifications

• Advanced Welding Techniques Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
