Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Investment Banking Analyst to join our team based in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, preparing financial models, and contributing to strategic investment decisions. The role demands strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Build sophisticated financial models for forecasting and valuation.
• Develop comprehensive investment reports for internal and external use.
• Research and analyze market data to identify strategic opportunities.
• Assist in transaction processes from inception to closing.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams regarding project status.
• Review financial statements and identify trends or concerns.
• Contribute to strategic planning and financial recommendations.
• Engage with clients in meetings and participate in client management.
• Participate in team training and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus

Experience

• Up to 3 years of experience in financial services or similar roles
