Job Description

The Woodworking Machine Setter will be responsible for preparing and setting up woodworking machinery for production. This role involves ensuring optimal performance while adhering to safety standards and maintaining accurate logs of equipment operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate machinery for optimal production output.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure machine functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives for machinery operation.
• Record production data and assist with reporting needs.
• Maintain compliance with ISO standards.
• Assist in troubleshooting machinery malfunctions with engineering support.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives.
• Document any operational set-up changes.
• Help coordinate the maintenance schedule for all equipment.

Requirements

Education

• Matric certificate
• Technical qualification in Engineering is a plus

Experience

• A minimum of 2 years’ practical experience in machinery operation

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with electrical systems: Background knowledge in electrical setups and control systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience: Familiarity with welding techniques and manufacturing processes.
