Job Description

We are seeking an IT Support Technician to join our growing team in East London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring smooth IT operations. This role includes troubleshooting hardware and software issues, installing and configuring computer systems, and offering excellent customer service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system logs to identify potential issues.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing IT challenges.
• Assist in the training of junior support staff.
• Review and improve IT policies to streamline processes.
• Stay up to date with the latest technological developments.
• Manage access rights and permissions for users.
• Provide on-site support during IT-related events and upgrades.

Requirements

Education

• Matriculation Certificate
• Degree in Information Technology or related field is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a technical support role

Technical Skills

• Linux OS
• Remote Support Tools

Soft Skills

• Customer Service
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge in cybersecurity best practices: Understanding of cybersecurity principles and protocols.
• Familiarity with ITSM tools: Experience using IT Service Management tools for ticketing and support.
