Public Health Officer

Job Description

We're on the lookout for a passionate Public Health Officer to be based in Johannesburg. You will be instrumental in addressing public health challenges by analyzing health data, coordinating health programs, and liaising with community partners. A proactive approach and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Research public health trends and advise on emerging health issues.
• Design and evaluate health promotion initiatives targeting vulnerable populations.
• Monitor public health threats and respond appropriately.
• Compile and disseminate health-related information and resources.
• Represent the organization at health-related meetings and conferences.
• Collaborate with health professionals and stakeholders to achieve public health objectives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health or related field
• Master's degree in Public Health is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in public health-related roles

• Statistical Software

Certifications

• Certified Public Health Administrator (CPHA)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Basic
