Job Description

We are seeking a Chemical Engineer to join our team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations while delivering innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and validate chemical processes in accordance with industry standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to solve complex engineering problems.
• Perform troubleshooting for production issues and provide engineering solutions.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Support the implementation of new technologies within the plant.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality.
• Coordinate with external vendors and stakeholders for project execution.
• Document and maintain process guidelines and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on safety and operational procedures.
• Contribute to research and development activities for new product lines.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in the chemical industry

• Chemical Process Simulation Software

Languages

• English: Fluent
