Job Description

As a Childcare Worker, you will be an important part of our team, aiding in the emotional and social development of children. Key responsibilities include supervising and engaging children in activities, promoting a healthy routine, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Encourage positive social interactions among children.
• Administer first aid when necessary and ensure health standards.
• Observe and assess children's individual needs and interests.
• Participate in staff meetings and contribute to team goals.
• Foster an inclusive environment for children of all abilities.
• Help create a curriculum that aligns with early childhood education standards.
• Train and mentor junior staff or volunteers.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Early Childhood Development or equivalent
• Degree in Education or related field is advantageous

Experience

• 2+ years in childcare or preschool setting preferred

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
