Profile Saw Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Profile Saw Operator to join our team in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining manual or computer-controlled machines that cut and shape wooden profiles and other materials. This role requires attention to detail, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machines for operation by selecting appropriate saw blades and settings.
• Measure and mark cutting lines according to specifications.
• Feed materials into the saw and monitor the cutting process for quality control.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machinery.
• Document production data as required.
• Assist in training new operators on machine operation and safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Technical diploma related to machining or manufacturing

Experience

• Experience operating computer-controlled machines preferred

Technical Skills

• Measurement skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Woodworking Technology: Familiarity with modern woodworking techniques and software.
• Safety certifications: Hold safety certifications relevant to operating machinery.
