We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coding and a strong understanding of backend technologies. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining server-side components, ensuring optimal performance and scalability of applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Enhance existing applications by improving scalability and performance.
• Debug and resolve software defects.
• Collaborate with the design team to implement user-friendly interfaces.
• Document development processes, code changes, and APIs.
• Assure code quality by developing unit tests.
• Engage in regular team meetings to discuss project progress.
• Research and incorporate new technologies to improve backend development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or related experience
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 4+ years in backend development with expertise in server-side technologies
