Bookkeeper

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, as well as preparing financial reports. Responsibilities

• Oversee full bookkeeping functions including payroll and taxes.
• Assist with tax filings and compliance requirements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Provide insights into financial performance through analytic reviews.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental objectives.
• Continuously improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
• Develop financial forecasts and budgets.
• Manage expense reports and reimbursements.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.

Requirements

Education

• National Diploma in Accounting or Finance
• BCom in Accounting is an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

Technical Skills

• QuickBooks
• Financial Analysis

• Communication Skills
• Problem-Solving

Certifications

• Certified Bookkeeper

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of IFRS: Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
• Experience with budgeting: Ability to assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
