DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our fast-paced team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will be pivotal in managing cloud infrastructures, automating deployments and ensuring continuous integration and delivery of our applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployments on container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
• Identify and troubleshoot incidents in production environments.
• Work closely with security teams to enhance infrastructure security.
• Create and maintain documentation for architecture and processes.
• Manage configuration management tools such as Ansible or Puppet.
• Evaluate, implement, and maintain necessary tools and software.
• Lead training sessions for staff on DevOps practices and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Git

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Leadership

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with cloud-native technologies: Hands-on experience with services and tools designed for cloud architecture.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies: Familiarity with Agile project management and delivery practices.
