Web Application Security Tester

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Web Application Security Tester to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security of our web applications by identifying vulnerabilities and implementing secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the security of web applications and APIs to mitigate risks.
• Provide support in the integration of security tools into the development process.
• Assist in the development of security policies and procedures.
• Work with project teams to implement security measures on new and existing applications.
• Create security testing plans and execute them effectively.
• Coordinate with compliance teams to ensure regulations are met.
• Generate reports on security assessments for stakeholders.
• Act as a security advocate within the development team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Software Engineering
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in application security testing

• Experience in Security Automation: Experience in automating security testing processes using various tools.
