Job Description

We are in search of a skilled Cloud Engineer to join our innovative team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with cloud services, infrastructure management, and DevOps practices. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud solutions to ensure performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure within AWS and Azure.
• Develop automation scripts for deployment processes using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Monitor cloud applications and services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud services into application architectures.
• Conduct security assessments and implement best practices for cloud security.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Master’s degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience with cloud technologies and DevOps methodologies

Technical Skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• CI/CD Tools

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
• Google Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with OpenShift: Familiarity with OpenShift for container orchestration.
• Understanding of cloud security practices: Knowledge of best practices for securing cloud environments.
