Job Description

As an Architect at our firm, you will take charge of designing buildings and spaces that inspire and enhance the landscape of Bloemfontein. Your creativity will be put to the test as you meet with clients, draft plans, and guide the construction process to ensure the final output aligns with the vision. We’re looking for someone who is innovative, detail-oriented, and passionate about architecture.

Responsibilities

• Draft architectural drawings using CAD software.
• Assess design possibilities and technical constraints.
• Generate reports and presentations for stakeholders.
• Oversee the design review process and implement feedback.
• Facilitate communication between team members and external contractors.
• Ensure high standards of design quality throughout the project.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Master's degree in Urban Design preferred

Experience

• 5 years of architectural experience within residential or commercial sectors

Technical Skills

• Revit
• BIM

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Time management

Certifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Zoning and Building Codes Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Experience with community engagement: Involvement in community development projects.
• Experience in historic preservation: Understanding historical architecture and preservation practices.
