Seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to join our Johannesburg team. Your main responsibilities will include resolving technical issues, setting up hardware and software, and assisting users in maximizing their productivity. Strong interpersonal skills and a solid technical background are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees and clients via phone, email, and in-person.
• Set up and configure computer systems, software, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Maintain and update IT documentation and user manuals.
• Assist in maintaining the IT inventory and equipment.
• Work collaboratively with the IT team to manage system upgrades and installations.
• Ensure compliance with IT security policies and best practices.
• Train staff on new technologies and software applications.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology or related field
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) preferred

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in IT support or a similar role
