Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic Public Relations Officer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our public image and working closely with media outlets to promote our company’s goals and initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and have a passion for storytelling and public relations.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a strong public image for the company.
• Manage proactive media outreach and responses to inquiries.
• Prepare presentations and public speaking engagements.
• Enhance brand awareness through media channels and community involvement.
• Conduct interviews and surveys to collect public insights.
• Collaborate to produce publications, newsletters, and online content.
• Monitor competition and industry trends to inform PR strategies.
• Serve as the face of the company at public events and functions.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Communications or Marketing
• Master’s degree in Public Relations or equivalent is advantageous

Experience

• 5 years of experience in a public relations role, preferably in a corporate environment
