Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacist to join our team in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective use of medications, counseling patients, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation and dispensing of medications.
• Assist in the development of pharmacy protocols and procedures.
• Conduct quality assurance checks on medication dispensing.
• Provide clinical oversight and support to healthcare professionals.
• Engage in research and development related to pharmaceutical care.
• Monitor and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
• Support the pharmacy's financial and operational goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
• PhD in Pharmacy or related field is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in community pharmacy

Technical Skills

• Clinical Pharmacy
• Medication Therapy Management

Certifications

• Certified in Medication Therapy Management (MTM)
• Continuing Professional Development (CPD) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational
