Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We seek a highly skilled Actuarial Analyst to enhance our analytical team in Durban. In this role, you'll utilize actuarial models and techniques to evaluate financial risks and assist in the development of insurance products and services.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of actuarial policies and procedures.
• Participate in audits and compliance reviews as needed.
• Coordinate with IT to ensure data integrity and integration.
• Mentor junior staff and assist in their professional growth.
• Document methodologies and maintain accurate records of analyses.
• Work effectively within a team to deliver projects on time.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science or related field
• Qualified actuary or in process of attaining qualification is advantageous

Experience

• 2-4 years of experience in a relevant role

Certifications

• Financial Risk Manager (FRM)
• CFA Level 2 is a plus

Languages

• English: Fluent
