We are seeking a detail-oriented Insurance Underwriter to join our Port Elizabeth team. The right candidate will assess risks, determine coverage levels, and provide recommendations to ensure our clients receive optimal insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
Assess various insurance risks in line with company policies.
Develop relationships with clients and brokers to facilitate effective communication.
Document underwriting decisions and maintain accurate records for audits.
Stay informed about changes in legislation affecting insurance underwriting.
Participate in training programs to enhance underwriting skills and knowledge.
Provide continuous feedback and support to junior underwriters.
Handle queries and complaints from clients regarding underwriting decisions.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Professional underwriting certification is a plus
Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in insurance underwriting or relevant field
