Civil Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of civil engineering principles and experience in managing projects from conception through to completion. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and overseeing the construction of infrastructure projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and construction of infrastructure such as roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Analyze engineering data and environmental impacts of proposed projects.
• Present engineering findings and recommendations to management and clients.
• Ensure all engineering practices align with sustainability and environmental regulations.
• Participate in public meetings to discuss project-related concerns.
• Implement innovative engineering solutions to improve project efficiencies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the civil engineering sector
