Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Programmer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing our mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance and functionality. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in Cobol, Assembler, and JCL, with a strong focus on system integration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain complex mainframe applications.
• Assist in devising strategies for system improvements and optimizations.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for system upgrades and deployments.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones while maintaining quality standards.
• Develop test cases and assist in the execution of user acceptance testing.
• Train junior developers in mainframe technologies and practices.
• Facilitate workshops to share knowledge on mainframe systems.
• Provide backup and recovery support for critical systems.
• Engage in continuous professional development to keep skills current.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant area is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in mainframe programming

Certifications

• Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)

Languages
