Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Music Therapist to join our team in Johannesburg. This role involves developing and implementing music therapy sessions for students with emotional, behavioral, and developmental disorders. You will evaluate student progress and collaborate with educators to enhance their learning experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine the suitability of music therapy for individual students.
• Design engaging and effective music therapy programs that cater to diverse needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the outcomes of music therapy interventions.
• Provide training to school staff on how to incorporate music therapy principles into their teaching.
• Document and report on the effectiveness of therapy strategies employed.
• Work collaboratively with mental health professionals to support student well-being.
• Provide feedback to parents and caregivers regarding their child's progress.
• Stay updated on advancements in music therapy and related fields.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Music Therapy or related field preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in music therapy, particularly in school settings.
