Job Description

Apex Insurance Ltd. is looking for a skilled Insurance Underwriter to evaluate insurance applications and risks while providing exceptional service to our clients. This role requires strong analytical skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed risk assessments for various types of insurance.
• Draft reports summarizing underwriting decisions and rationales.
• Work alongside legal and compliance teams for regulatory matters.
• Maintain ongoing relationships with clients, agents, and stakeholders.
• Provide training to junior underwriters on best practices.
• Implement and follow procedures for underwriting evaluation.
• Suggest improvements for underwriting processes to enhance efficiency.
• Review customer feedback to improve service quality.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics or a related field
• Certification in Underwriting or Risk Management preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry or underwriting role

• Fellow of the Life Management Institute (FMLI)
