We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to become an integral part of our tech team in Cape Town. You will play a pivotal role in automating processes, fostering smooth workflows, and enhancing productivity across various projects. Ideal candidates should have a solid grounding in cloud technologies and experience with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are scalable and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Manage cloud resources and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Optimize existing applications for performance and reliability.
• Oversee incident management and response strategies.
• Implement best practices for version control and source code management.
• Engage in architecture discussions and planning with the development team.
• Document and share knowledge on best practices in DevOps.
• Plan and execute infrastructure changes without impacting performance.
• Review and approve configuration management changes.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps-focused role

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Bash and Python scripting

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with serverless architectures: Experience in designing applications with serverless computing models.
