DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled DevOps Engineer to become an integral part of our tech team in Cape Town. You will play a pivotal role in automating processes, fostering smooth workflows, and enhancing productivity across various projects. Ideal candidates should have a solid grounding in cloud technologies and experience with CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that systems are scalable and efficient.

Responsibilities

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for application deployments.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and availability.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline integration and deployment processes.
• Enhance and maintain cloud-based solutions, ensuring security and scalability.
• Work closely with IT teams to ensure all systems are properly integrated and configured.
• Create documentation for system configurations, processes, and changes.
• Perform regular system audits and security checks.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement improvements.
• Support disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps-focused role

Technical Skills

• Adobe Creative Suite
• Bash and Python scripting

Certifications

• Google Professional Cloud Architect
• Certified DevOps Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
