AWS DevOps Engineer

Job Description

Join our growing team as an AWS DevOps Engineer in Cape Town, where you will play a crucial role in deploying and managing our cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS technologies, automation, and CI/CD practices to streamline our development processes.

Responsibilities

• Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS.
• Automate manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce errors.
• Participate in system design reviews to ensure alignment with architecture standards.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of cloud applications.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for support of production systems.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in cloud computing or DevOps roles

Technical Skills

• Terraform
• Python or Bash Scripting

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Communication

Certifications

• Google Cloud Certified - Associate Cloud Engineer
• Certified Jenkins Engineer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
