We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our Bloemfontein team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing various construction projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring structural integrity and safety from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design phase of structural projects from conception to execution.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.
• Collaborate with construction teams to resolve issues during builds.
• Perform load calculations and structural simulations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies.
• Contribute to sustainability efforts in engineering practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Updated training in structural design is preferable

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects

Technical Skills

• Revit
• SAP2000

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Chartered Engineer
• Safety Management Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Setswana: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with green building certifications: Familiarity with LEED or similar certifications for sustainable design.
