Job Description

The Hull Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of vessel hulls by conducting inspections and providing recommendations for maintenance and repairs. The individual needs to possess strong attention to detail and a deep understanding of industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct hull inspections across a variety of vessels including cargo ships and cruise liners.
  • Document any damage or defects and measure hull thickness using ultrasonic testing.
  • Prepare detailed reports outlining inspection findings and suggested corrective actions.
  • Ensure all inspections adhere to relevant safety and regulatory standards.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to provide clear guidance on repair protocols.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Engineering or Marine Technology
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in marine surveying or inspection with a focus on hull integrity.
