Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Insurance Underwriter to join our dynamic team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will assess and evaluate risk factors to determine appropriate coverage for clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in underwriting, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to client service.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client data and financial reports to inform underwriting decisions.
• Provide guidance on claims policies and procedures.
• Participate in training and development programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to enhance service delivery.
• Manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction with underwriting decisions.
• Review and advise on complex underwriting cases.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, or relevant field
• Further qualifications in underwriting will be considered advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in a similar underwriting role

• Fellow of the Insurance Institute of South Africa (FIISA)
