We are seeking a passionate Veterinary Surgeon to join our practice in Port Elizabeth. Your role will include diagnosing, treating, and performing surgeries on a range of animals, fostering a safe and caring environment for both pets and their owners.

Responsibilities

• Examine animals to diagnose medical conditions and propose treatment plans.
• Perform surgical procedures with precision and ensure animal safety.
• Prescribe medications and provide post-operative care for recovery.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding treatment options.
• Collaborate with other veterinary professionals to enhance patient care.
• Keep abreast of innovations in veterinary practices.
• Participate in continuous education and training.
• Lead and mentor junior veterinary staff as needed.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification in Veterinary Surgery is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in veterinary practice, with surgical experience preferred.
