Civil Engineer

Job Description

Join our engineering team in Port Elizabeth as a Civil Engineer. In this position, you will design, plan, and oversee a variety of civil engineering projects, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Your responsibilities will include conducting feasibility studies, preparing reports, and providing recommendations to improve infrastructure systems. We are looking for a creative problem-solver who is dedicated to delivering quality workmanship in all aspects of civil engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process, making sure designs are cost-effective and practical.
• Work with contractors and construction teams to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Perform inspections and surveys during all phases of projects.
• Analyze data and reports to anticipate and mitigate potential problems.
• Present proposals to clients and adjust designs based on feedback.
• Collaborate with local authorities regarding regulatory requirements.
• Foster partnerships with other engineering disciplines for project success.
• Implement sustainability practices in all engineering solutions.
• Develop timelines and detailed programs for project delivery.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• Certification in Project Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering
