UX Designer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a skilled UX Designer to enhance our products' usability. Based in Durban, you will be responsible for conducting user research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and collaborating with developers to implement your designs. If you have a knack for innovative design and a strong understanding of user-centered principles, we want you on our team!

Responsibilities

• Analyze user behavior data to enhance user experience.
• Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and clients.
• Collaborate with UX researchers to gather qualitative data.
• Create and maintain design specifications for developers.
• Participate in sprint planning and other Agile ceremonies.
• Support and mentor junior designers on the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Graphic Design, or related field
• Relevant certifications in UX/UI design are beneficial

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in UX design or similar roles

Technical Skills

• Figma
• Adobe Creative Suite

Soft Skills

• Adaptability
• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Certified Usability Analyst (CUA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of accessibility standards: Understanding of ARIA and WCAG for inclusive design practices.
• Experience with Agile methodologies: Familiarity with Agile principles and processes to enhance collaboration.
