Budget Analyst

Job Description

As a Budget Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting research, analyzing data, and providing recommendations to shape and influence policy decisions. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify key policy issues and develop strategies for addressing them.

Responsibilities

• Support the budget preparation process by analyzing financial information.
• Assist in the development of budgets and financial plans.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
• Evaluate ongoing financial performance and budget compliance.
• Prepare financial forecasts and variance analyses.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for effective resource allocation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
• Liaise with external stakeholders such as auditors and regulatory bodies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Economics, or a related field.
• Master's degree in Public Policy or equivalent is a bonus.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in policy analysis or a related field.
