Job Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Cart Driver to operate and maintain a cart for transporting materials in an underground mining setting. Successful candidates will demonstrate safety-conscious behaviour and a strong commitment to efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate the cart in various underground conditions.
• Ensure inspections are conducted before starting shifts.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the work area.
• Work collaboratively with the logistics team to optimize operations.
• Track and report inventory discrepancies as they occur.
• Assist in training new drivers on operational procedures.
• Support the implementation of safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with environmental policies.
• Participate in regular safety meetings.

Requirements

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience

• Previous experience in a similar role preferred.

Technical Skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge
• Experience with inventory systems

Soft Skills

• Team player
• Problem-solving skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Additional certifications in logistics or transportation: Certifications such as OSHA or safety training will be beneficial.
• Familiarity with mine operations and safety protocols: Understanding of safety regulations and standards in underground mining.
