Job Description

As a Mental Health Counselor, you will provide vital counseling services to individuals living in group homes. Your role is essential in assisting residents with their daily activities and emotional well-being, ultimately promoting their personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Administer therapeutic support while assisting residents in daily routines.
  • Facilitate workshops and group therapy sessions addressing mental health awareness.
  • Compile and maintain resident documentation and progress reports.
  • Work with family members to enhance support for residents when appropriate.
  • Identify and resolve conflicts among residents, utilizing mediation skills.
  • Provide guidance and resources for personal and professional development.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
  • Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
  • Contribute to a positive community environment within the workplace.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
  • Master's degree in Counseling is advantageous
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a mental health setting
