Clinical Research Associate

Job Description

We are seeking a Clinical Research Associate to join our team in Cape Town. The successful candidate will support the planning and execution of clinical trials. You’ll ensure adherence to regulatory standards while collaborating with researchers and study sites.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clinical trial sites to maintain study flow.
• Track and report progress of recruitment and retention efforts.
• Evaluate adverse events and manage safety reports.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders throughout the trial.
• Compile and maintain trial-related documentation, ensuring it is correct and up to date.
• Assist in the development of study materials and training resources.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Biomedical Sciences
• Master's degree in Public Health or related field is an asset

Experience

• 3+ years of relevant experience in clinical trials

Technical Skills

• Data Management
• Statistical Analysis Software

Soft Skills

• Teamwork

Certifications

• Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) Certification
• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Intermediate

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Systems: Experience with EDC platforms commonly used in clinical trials.
• Bilingual skills in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
