Job Description

We are seeking a Data Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you will harness data analytics expertise to interpret complex data sets, develop models, and provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate will have a background in statistics and programming alongside experience with machine learning techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and trends.
• Build and optimize machine learning models to improve predictions.
• Assist in the integration of new data sources and tools.
• Communicate findings and methodologies to non-technical audiences.
• Ensure compliance with data governance and privacy policies.
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative data solutions.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required by management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
• Master's degree or higher in Data Science is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of analytics experience in a corporate environment
