Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic team based in Johannesburg. In this role, you'll be responsible for safeguarding our organization's digital assets by identifying and mitigating potential threats. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity principles and be equipped to develop strategies for reinforcing our data security.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security tools such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
• Analyze security breaches to determine their root cause and prevent recurrence.
• Work with data protection regulations and ensure compliance within the organization.
• Provide expert advice on security technologies suitable for our infrastructure.
• Regularly review and update security policies and practices.
• Support in disaster recovery planning and executing recovery tests.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
• Industry-specific certifications are preferable

Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security
