We are seeking a skilled Insurance Underwriter to analyze risk and assess potential policyholders. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to evaluate insurance applications effectively. Responsibilities

• Assess applications and perform risk analysis for various insurance products.
• Make informed decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of risks.
• Collaborate with claims adjusters to evaluate risk factors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with agents for better understanding of client needs.
• Track and report metrics on underwriting performance.
• Participate in underwriting meetings to strategize on risk management.
• Assist in creating training material for new underwriting practices.
• Provide expert advice on risk underwriting to management.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management or a related field
• Postgraduate studies in Insurance or Business Management are an advantage

Experience

• 5+ years in insurance underwriting or a similar role

Technical Skills

• Statistical Modeling
• Underwriting Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
• Underwriting Certificate from a recognized institution
