UI Designer

Job Description

We are on the lookout for a creative UI Designer to join our Cape Town office. As part of our design team, you'll be responsible for crafting visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for various digital platforms. You'll work closely with UX designers and developers to translate wireframes into stunning user interfaces that enhance user experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative UI designs for user-centric digital products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design requirements.
• Conduct user testing sessions and analyze feedback to improve design.
• Create prototypes and wireframes to communicate design concepts.
• Document design processes and rationale for future reference.
• Facilitate design handoffs and discussions with development teams.
• Engage in design critiques and accept constructive feedback.
• Stay proactive in learning new design techniques and software.
• Participate in team workshops and training.
• Mentor junior designers, sharing best practices and guiding their development.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s in Design or relevant field
• Relevant certifications are an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years in UI/UX design or related fields

Technical Skills

• Adobe XD
• User Research

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Time Management

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with UX research methodologies: Knowledge of user research methods to inform design.
• Experience in motion design: Able to create animations and transitions for improved UX.
