Structural Engineer

Job Description

Seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to contribute to exciting projects in Johannesburg. You will work closely with architects and other engineers to develop innovative structural designs and provide solutions to complex building challenges.

Responsibilities

• Execute structural calculations and simulations.
• Coordinate with construction teams to resolve any on-site issues.
• Engage in project planning and contribute to feasibility studies.
• Develop innovative solutions for complex structural problems.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural and civil engineering projects

• Finite Element Analysis
• Microsoft Project

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Knowledge of seismic design principles: Understanding of designing structures to withstand seismic activity.
• Proficient in advanced software for structural analysis: Experience with tools like ETABS or similar programs.
