Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design and implementation of safe and efficient structures. You will work closely with clients and contractors in Kimberley to meet project requirements and manage the entire design process from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Create and review designs for structural integrity, safety, and aesthetics.
  • Perform calculations and analysis using structural design software.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on project requirements.
  • Evaluate building materials for projects and provide cost estimates.
  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to design discussions.
  • Prepare and submit building permit applications to local authorities.
  • Review and analyse site survey reports and integrate them into designs.
  • Assist in the development of project proposals and bids.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction processes and compliance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and interns within the team.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
Experience
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience
Technical Skills
  • SAP2000
  • ETABS

  • Time Management
Certifications
  • Structural Engineer License
  • LEED Accredited Professional
Languages
  • English: Fluent
