IT Support Technician

Job Description

Tech Innovations Inc. is seeking an IT Support Technician based in Durban to help enhance our operational efficiency. This position involves acting as the first point of contact for technical inquiries, conducting repairs, and assisting staff with IT-related issues. Successful candidates will possess a strong technical background, solid communication skills, and a customer-service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Act as a liaison between users and third-party service providers.
• Maintain inventory of hardware and software licenses.
• Provide training to staff on new technologies and software.
• Perform regular maintenance and software upgrades to ensure systems are up-to-date.
• Contribute to the development of IT policies and procedures.
• Assist in project management for IT initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma or degree in IT or related field
• Certifications in IT support preferred

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant IT support experience

• Mac OS X
• Help Desk Software

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with remote support tools: Hands-on experience using remote support software like TeamViewer or AnyDesk.
