Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our talented team in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and reduce costs. You will work closely with various departments to ensure operational efficiency and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements.
• Conduct root cause analysis for production issues.
• Facilitate workshops to drive improvement initiatives.
• Assist in the development of budgets for process improvements.
• Create project plans for process refinement projects.
• Engage with suppliers to improve product quality and delivery.
• Train and mentor junior engineering staff.
• Review and update standard operating procedures.
• Assist in the integration of new manufacturing technologies.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to drive company-wide initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
• Master's degree in Engineering Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering

• Quality Assurance
• Statistical Process Control

• Negotiation

Certifications

• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Lean Expert

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with ERP systems: Familiarity with ERP software for manufacturing processes.
• Certification in Project Management: A project management certification such as PMP is a plus.
