Structural Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Structural Engineer to contribute to our ongoing projects. This role involves collaboration with architects and project managers to develop and implement structural designs that are both practical and innovative.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and plans based on project specifications.
• Oversee the execution of projects from conception to completion.
• Interact with clients to capture their needs and expectations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
• Research new materials and technologies to improve structural performance.
• Collaborate closely with contractors to ensure designs are accurately implemented.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
• Master's degree is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structural engineering

Technical Skills

• AutoCAD
• SAP2000
• Revit
• Structural Analysis

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Problem-solving
• Teamwork

Certifications

• Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration
• LEED Accredited Professional

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Afrikaans: Basic
