Job Description

We are seeking a talented Fashion Designer to join our creative team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a passion for fashion, and the ability to translate trends into unique designs. As a Fashion Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and executing fashion collections that resonate with our customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative process in developing seasonal collection concepts.
• Analyze customer feedback and sales data to inform future designs.
• Collate and maintain design portfolios for reference.
• Negotiate with fabric suppliers regarding costs and production.
• Develop a strong social media presence to promote new designs.
• Guide junior designers and interns in their projects.
• Coordinate fittings and make necessary alterations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field
• Master's degree in Fashion Management is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in fashion design and development

Technical Skills

• Fashion CAD Software
• Pattern Making

• Analytical Skills

Languages

• English: Fluent

• Familiarity with garment production processes: Understanding of end-to-end garment manufacturing.
