Cloud Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Security Engineer to fortify our cybersecurity infrastructure in Johannesburg. This role is critical in protecting sensitive information and ensuring compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in network security, risk assessment, and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for cloud environment and users.
• Facilitate migrations of applications and services to the cloud.
• Monitor cloud expenditures as well as service usage metrics.
• Develop training materials for staff on cloud best practices.
• Maintain an awareness of emerging cloud technologies and implement relevant advancements.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master’s degree is advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud environments

Technical Skills

• Kubernetes
• CI/CD Pipelines

Soft Skills

• Problem-solving

Certifications

• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of cloud security best practices: Experience in implementing security frameworks in the cloud.
• Proficiency in network configuration: Understanding of network design and management in cloud environments.
