Job Description

As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in managing patient medication therapy and collaborating with healthcare teams. You will ensure quality patient care by reviewing prescriptions, monitoring effects, and educating patients on their medications.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff.
  • Lead patient safety grand rounds focusing on pharmacotherapy.
  • Analyze medication use patterns and propose interventions.
  • Ensure that pharmacy operations comply with legal and ethical guidelines.
  • Advocate for patient health and wellness in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Engage in continuous professional development activities.
  • Provide training and support for pharmacy residents and students.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D.
  • Registration with the South African Pharmacy Council
Experience
  • 3+ years of clinical pharmacy experience
